Sunday January 27, 2013

I have been busy this past couple of weeks. The Museum show response is wonderful.
So far I have had no one interested in purchased a piece though.
I finished my quilt and Cheryl DeMerritt's quilt as well as my own. Mine is the gray and pink one. These are both made from the same pattern. The photos are not that great.  The friendship group I belonged to was challenged to make a quilt from the pattern Crossed Path. It is amazing how different they all look. I am not sure how many of us made them, but they will all be shown at the guild's show that will be held here at the Dixie Center over Easter Weekend.

Dave has had a cold and I am afraid I am coming down with it. I hope not... but I don't feel really wonderful.
I have a lot to accomplish this next week and just can't be sick.

Up coming show....

I am a member of the Painted Hills Fiber Artists and we have a show opening at the St. George Art Museum on Saturday, to the public. It will run through May 11th. I will post photos after the preview that will be happening on Friday evening. It really is a wonderful show. I am so hoping we have collectors show up that might purchase one of my works or one of the other member's works. I think there is only two of us that are really hoping to sell!
I had a busy day today, although I don't have much to show for my days work!  I did have a nice visit with friends at a friendship quilting group. I picked up a couple of quilts today from my previous customers.
It is much warmer here tonight than previous nights....39 as of 9:15 this evening.

Happy New Year.....

2012 is over..... it went by way to fast. I am happy with all the stuff I accomplished during 2012 and hope to be more focused on my art ... fiber art ..... and watercolor painting during 2013.

I got the quilt guild's kids quilt finished.... well ready to be taken to Rosemary H for attaching the binding. She is going to do the hand work.

Also made a yoga bag for a niece. I thought it turned out great. The only problem was all yoga mats are not the same size. My niece has a larger mat and the bag turned out aprox 5 inches short. I put a lot of work  into it thinking all mats were the same size. I won't take anything like that for granted again.
