Friday June 29....

I have had a busy few days.... I am working on a friend's lovely quilt. I have the 2 outside borders to finish. The quilting does not show up very well...... on the front or the back.
I got my business checking account open today. I needed to deposit a couple of customer's checks.

Wed June 20

Today was a very busy, but fun day. I did a trunk show for ASG at Scrap Apple Quilt shop here in St. George. It was fun, not a big turn out, but the few that were there seemed to enjoy it. I picked up a store sample to quilt for the shop. This afternoon went to a friendship group and delivered a quilt I finished quilting today. Thought I would post photos of it...
Something all quilt makers should consider...is not using batik on the back of your quilt. It is beautiful, but often there are pokes on the the back. I prefer plain cotton.

Sunday ....

Today has been a very busy day ... but I haven't seemed to accomplish much. I did get yard work done, that is good.
Dave is feeling Ok. That is good. I hope to finish the quilt I have on the frame by Tuesday... Then I have one more large one to do.. that is a major custom for a wonderful friend. I will post it when I am finished. It is a tulip quilt just like the one I won a ribbon on in our show here in St. George. I am going to quilt her's the same as mine. So.. I don't have to come up with a design.
Dinner is ready... so I will close...

June 12

Today looks like it is going to be another beautiful...warm day... I have a lot to get done today and have my applique club this afternoon... it's fun.. I took photos of Ginny Affleck's quilt. I am going to get the next loaded and get going on it. I need to go to Superior Thread and get some thread and am thinking about getting my hair trimmed....

Wed 13

I have gotten a lot done today. Finished the oddest quilt I have done since I started quilting for others. The customer has not picked it up yet. ... Went to Let's Quilt to square up the back for the next quilt. I just could not manage it on the floor. Teryl  had a class there... one gal came from Switzerland for the class! Teryl IS an  excellent teacher. She almost gives you to much info to process in the 3 day class.

Monday evening

Got a lot done today. I finished another customer quilt Ginny Affleck.... I am happy with how it has turned out. My husband has some health issues, so that has been very stressful for us... Hopefully things will be Ok soon.. Looks like we will have a visit from our niece Amy and her boy friend the end of the week. It will be nice to see her.

Friday June 8th

Today was a very busy day.. got lots done. Took the wall hanging I did for Heather Purcell at Superior Threads to her. She was happy. I did not photo it.. I think she said she was going to hang it at the shop. I took business cards by Scrap Apple Quilts... and got a all the stitch in the ditch done a the next client's quilt.
I had Candice go and get Cafe Rio for dinner. She did not want to cook tonight.
I will get up and get going tomorrow... Hope to finish Jenny's quilt by Monday and get Lori's on...I want to work on my landscape quilt too.... I am getting caught up on my client work.
It's bed time...................

June 7

Today sure got away from me..... I did get lots done. Took Heather's piece off the frame and got Jennie Afleck's quilt on. I managed to knock the closet door off while arranging stuff in the upstairs guestroom closet. I have two rolls of batting to add... needed to move a couple of rolls of batting I am storing for a customer... Dave and I tried to get the door put back up, but the post that is in the bottom of the door is not solid. The door that is still up has the same problem. If I can't get the problem fixed, I will have to find someone to hire to fix it.
Just went outside and told our neighbor it was time to go to bed.... it's 11:30 and he just started howling. I feel sorry for him. He has major mental problems. I told him if he needed to howl he would have to go inside. I was nice... if he keeps on we will have to give his brother (who is his care taker)  a call. Thankfully Dave sleeps pretty soundly. It is warm enough we don't have the windows open. So far he hasn't continued, so my asking him to be quiet  might have worked... Mental illness is something I don't often think about. I am goofy ...do really goofy things, but I don't howl or carry on real conversations with myself in different voices....(out loud anyway...lol). It really is not a laughing matter. When he takes his meds they make him lethargic.
Now.... it is time for me to go to bed.... Good night all!

Today is really a beautiful day here in St. George... it is not yet 70degrees and there is a pleasant breeze. I should be quilting, but made a batch of hummus and need to get my hair cut.... So think I will get that done, then take books on CDs back to the library.
Candice is back from her trip to NY. She had a great time. Po was happy to have her mom back.
Dave and I had a good time at the Tomer's home in Dammeon Valley. I watch and DAve watched and photoed the transit of Venus on the sun.... it was really neat. I will post his link when he gets the photos up.... Now I need to get busy..

Monday.....June 4

I got a lot done today... finished a client's quilt... and started a panel for another client... the backing was not quilt long enough, so I have to piece it. I am not going to do that tonight. I should have checked backing before I loaded it on the long arm... but did get a big part of the ditching done. I will have to reload the quilt, but won't do that until tomorrow morning. Here are photos of Linda Williamson's. She did machine applique and embroidery on it. I think it is such a lovely Christmas quilt...

Sunday evening....

Well the day is about gone and I did not accomplish 1/2 of what I wanted to... tomorrow has to be a major work day for me! I am getting behind and that is not good! But... not going to worry about anything tonight... just going to have one more good night of rest! Hope everyone has a good night....

Sat evening.... June 2..

Had a great time with quilting friends today. ...... Cathie and I  went to the Dixie Quilt Guild meeting and then to Let's Quilt for our long arm group meeting. We both had  customer's show quilts we had done... great advertisement! I picked up a couple other jobs. I was very honored when Heather Purcell from Superior Threads asked me to quilt a panel for her. I had finished one for Annette Willimson, she showed it at the meeting and the took it into Superior and show it off there.. The only problem is Heather needs it done quickly so... I will work it in my schedule. It is one I just could not say no to....

I need to get us some dinner going... don't know what, it is so hot....102 degrees... then do some quilting.....
